Kate and necklaces

I need to find a necklace like the one Kate is wearing here. The ones I have seen look tacky and awful and I would just rather not go there. I know many of you think that the beauty of layering necklaces is that you can use a bunch of cheap ones and still achieve the look. However, it's just not working for me.
Well it is Friday, so there is a whole weekend just waiting for me to look for such a piece.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Gaudy skirts are sometimes very very fun

This is a quick post on the the Brocade skirt. I want to wear it with leather or fur(not real of course). Although, I don't own said skirt, I believe it would be a truly versatile item. Thus, it must be purchased.
What do you think of the brocade skirt. Do you have one or ten? If so, where did you get it or them?

Alright, so it may not be the definition of gaudy. I actually tried to find something really crazy to post. Alas, I could not find any clothing outrageous enough. So if you want to recommend a collection with a deliciously gaudy element well now that would be "delightful''.

Dark and shiny

Gucci has become my fashion house obsession recently. The folksy luxe clothes of the fall collection, stir up images of rich Estonian hippies rebelling from the mainstream elite by mixing peasant prints with luxurious velvet and embellishments (Rebels!)
Yes, such individuals may never have existed and I may have made this whole thing up. However, I like this description.

The perfect accessory - a dark red tinged with black pout. A great way to work this trend is to stick to matte colours and to use your finger to apply the colour by pressing rather than rubbing the lippy in. Try not to make it look too perfect as I think it looks better when it looks like more of an afterthought. Or you may like to go all out and create a purple/black glossy pout.

Plenty of ruffles and pleats

I am enjoying the high impact look for autumn. However, I am partial to a little bit of ultra feminine ruffles and pleats. I would love to incorporate the femininity of these images into my wardrobe with a slightly harder edge (Armour jewellery perhaps?)
It would be lovely to float around like this though.

Memoirs of a Geisha- Visual Tribute

"She paints her face to hide her face. Her eyes are deep water. It is not for Geisha to want. It is not for geisha to feel. Geisha is an artist of the floating world. She dances, she sings. She entertains you, whatever you want. The rest is shadows, the rest is secret"

Kate Moss and Kate Winslet - I stumbled across this site the other day that enables you to morph celebrities images together. Anyway, while I should have been doing something productive like studying. I decided instead to make this little morph thing of Kate Winslet and Kate Moss. What do you think?
